Job Opportunities
The Technical Center for Career Development (TCCD) was established as a special unit in the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in accordance with Decree Number 64 issued in 1995 by the Head of the Supreme Council of Universities.
The TCCD aims at offering career advancement opportunities for undergraduates and graduates in all engineering disciplines through the following activities:
. Establishing a good link between senior engineering students and fresh graduates, on one hand, and the industry on the other hand, by organizing miscellaneous training courses, workshops, soft skills programs, technical sessions, job fairs, exhibitions, recruitment events, seminars and lectures, to successfully manage their careers.
. Organizing training courses, seminars and workshops for engineers to develop their skills and increase their knowledge in business, marketing, management and entrepreneurship.
. Enhancing the communication between undergraduate and graduate engineers and their potential employers by maintaining databases for students, graduates, various industries, companies and consultation offices.
. Inviting companies and industries to support graduation projects and to offer summer internships and training opportunities for the benefit of the students as well as the offering entities.
. Organizing an annual fair for employment and training. The fair offers miscellaneous services to many engineers; senior undergraduates and fresh graduates. Companies, training centers and consultation offices are invited to participate in this fair for the benefit of engineers and engineering students from various disciplines.
Yearly Alumni Honoring Ceremony
The Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University used to organize a yearly Alumni Honoring Ceremony for Civil Engineering graduates – with graduates from all other departments – who were granted Distinction and Very Good general grades of their B.Sc. degrees, together with engineers who were granted the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in the same year. Pioneer engineers, who were graduated 50 years ago from all departments, will be also honored.
The faculty announced this year that an honoring ceremony will be organized and held on the 27th of April, 2017 for the 2016 graduates granted Distinction and Very Good general grades of their B.Sc. degrees from all faculty departments, together with engineers who were granted the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in the same year of 2016. Pioneer engineers who were graduated 50 years ago in 1966, from all departments, will be also honored.
The ceremony will be held in the Greatest Ceremony Hall under the Cairo University Dome, where a military music band will accompany the parade of honored personnel from inside the Faculty until reaching the University Ceremony Hall.
